Contracts Manager
Location: UK (Hybrid / Site-Based as required)

Salary: £70,000 – £80,000 per annum + performance bonus + benefits
Reports To: Commercial Director / Managing Director
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects across the construction sector, ensuring all contractual, financial, and operational aspects are delivered to the highest standard.
The successful candidate will take ownership of contract administration from pre-construction through to project completion, working closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to safeguard company interests while driving performance, compliance, and profitability.
This is a pivotal leadership role suited to someone with strong commercial awareness, technical understanding, and the ability to manage complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-value environment.
Key Responsibilities
Contract & Commercial Management
Lead on all contractual matters for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with NEC, JCT, or bespoke contract forms.
Review, negotiate, and manage contract terms and conditions to minimise risk and protect company interests.
Oversee contract administration, variation orders, extensions of time, and claims management.
Prepare, review, and approve subcontractor agreements and supplier contracts.
Project Oversight & Delivery
Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
Support project managers and site teams in the interpretation and execution of contract obligations.
Conduct regular site visits, progress reviews, and performance reporting.
Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Financial Management
Oversee cost control, cash flow forecasting, and financial reporting.
Manage valuations, interim payments, and final account settlements.
Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
Leadership & Team Development
Mentor and guide project teams in contract and commercial best practice.
Foster collaboration between departments, promoting a culture of professionalism and accountability.
Support tendering and bid teams by providing contractual and commercial input on new opportunities.
