Project Manager – Renewable Energy & Sustainable Infrastructure

About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Project Manager to lead major renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure projects from concept through to delivery.
Based in Edinburgh, you will take ownership of high-profile initiatives within the clean energy sector — including solar, wind, and low-carbon infrastructure developments. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, commercial insight, and a passion for driving the UK’s energy transition toward a greener future.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Execution
Manage the full lifecycle of renewable energy and infrastructure projects, from feasibility through to completion and handover.
Develop project execution plans, schedules, and risk management frameworks.
Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including design, engineering, construction, and commissioning functions.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Oversee procurement, contract administration, and supplier performance management.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Lead internal project teams, consultants, and subcontractors, fostering collaboration and accountability.
Act as primary point of contact for clients, investors, and external partners.
Manage stakeholder communications, reporting, and project governance at board level.
Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders.
Commercial & Financial Oversight
Control project budgets, forecasts, and cost performance metrics.
Identify commercial risks, contractual issues, and potential opportunities for value engineering.
Ensure adherence to corporate governance, compliance, and sustainability standards.
Strategic Contribution
Contribute to the development of the company’s renewable project pipeline and strategic growth plans.
Support business development and tendering activities with technical and delivery insights.
Champion innovation, digital tools, and sustainable construction practices across all projects.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 8–10 years’ project management experience within renewable energy, utilities, infrastructure, or engineering sectors.
Proven success in managing multi-million-pound projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of contract management (NEC / FIDIC) and project governance frameworks.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
Degree-qualified in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
Professional accreditation (APM, PRINCE2, PMP, or Chartered Engineer) preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to sustainability, safety, and innovation.
